Negative Influence of Media on Marriage

There's no point debunking the fact that media and its vices has negatively influence marriages and relationships in this contemporary era.


Those who're social media personalities though at times has good content but in presentation, it becomes contaminated.

Narrowing this discussion to the Nollywood characters, it has been discovered that this people in a bid to increase their views and purse resulted into presenting content that interest viewers at the detriment of what is morally correct and acceptable.

Truth been said, the content this media personalities presents to us are only a topic of entertainment and a bit of inspirational messages.

In presenting issues related to marriage, just because of how the viewers will respond to it mix the truth with some shady facts and a bunch of fallacies neglecting the the place of what is actually factual, acceptable and applicable in individual homes.

The home video character will present the wife to have an equal right in the home with the husband, give room for the wife to decide either to take an housemaid or not, give the wife a feeling that the husband can always go to the kitchen and get food for himself and some other stuffs.

Though, these presentations could not be necessarily said to be wrong but the damage comes when a wife to be who is an addict of home videos absorb this wrong mentality and goes into marriage with same, then you can imagine the catastrophe.

You can afford not to shake head when you see the way these media personalities dress during pregnancy, move up and down with pregnancy as if it's nothing, the underlying truth behind this is that they can afford medical bills to suffice for those excesses of theirs.

And that's what another man's wife will dwell on during her own pregnancy, all in the name of looking good put on tight fitted clothes and gives an excuse of that's how so so  so person used to dress during pregnancy too not knowing how she made provision for that in privacy.

I can continue to mention these negative influence of media on marriage ranging from what these people say, show, dress and their overall lifestyle but the message I wish to pass across this morning is that you should not be negatively influenced by media.

There are good contents on media too, you would do yourself more good to imbibe those ones that are morally acceptable according to the values of the society which is approachable and applicable in marriage and that is if you must be influenced by media at all.

It's no gainsaying that some people in relationship got so engrossed in surfing the internet and glued to social media even when they're with their partners denying themselves the comfort and happiness of communication in relationship.
