This is the Nigeria of My Dream

Oh ye Nigeria
Beacons of my Father's land
The strength of my youth
My land of birth and impact
Full of prominent personalities


Oh ye giant of the mighty Africa
Shakers and movers of the world
A land of honey and milk
From it source comes flowing rivers
And a dark nourished land

Oh come and take your position
Speak so much that your voice will be loud
For all and sundry to hear
Share your resources to all your inhabitants
Stop enriching the mighty few

I see a new great Nation
Where all citizens are merrying and celebrating
When we all have enough to spend and give out
When our electricity is stable on 24/7 basis
And our roads are not death traps

Nigeria, provide for the yearnings of thy people
Give us all equal opportunities to our own resources
Stop making workers living or meagre stipends
And overpaying the sitting lazy ones
What is good for the goose must be  good for the gander

Provide thy citizens with basic amenities
Not by political affiliation nor by geographical locations
But as a right to be served your nation
Let each man be buoyant to provide for his households
And not looking up another before doing so

Oh ye citizens of Nigeria
Have a mind of solidarity
Pay your taxes and embrace peace amidst yourselves
Do well to contribute the growth of this country
Pray for this land and you will benefit from it
Contribute your own quota
Nigeria will definitely work out

I see a Nigeria where all of us laugh
With no sickness and plague
Where our pipe-borne water is flowing
And our Universities are not disturbed with ASUU strikes anymore
Where our graduates are gainfully employed

I see a new Nigeria
Yea I see a new Nigeria
While I'm still yet alive
I will live to see my dear Country work out
Its a vision from room
And a hope to all who believed it.
