Success Pill IV: Reduce sleep hours

"Don't sleep too much, if you sleep 3 hours less each night for a year, you will have an extra month and half to succeed in." --Aristotle

A unique trait about new born babies is the ability to sleep all through the day, if at all they wake up it's only to suck and once they are done you see them doze off almost immediately.

The sleeping hours get to reduce as they mature in age until they reach a certain climax when they would rather prefer to cry all through the day than sleeping except there was an intervention.

Of a truth every adults needs 6-8 hours sleep in every 24hours but why not consider 6 hours of sleeping rather than 8 hours. If as an adult, you sleep beyond 8 hours on a good day, you need a timely intervention as you're only planting a seed of poverty for yourself.

Even the scripture says "those who sleeps does so in the night". I struggled so much with this scripture anytime I heard my mom quote it for me whene I lay on my bed in the day. But what do you expect me to do when I didn't have anything doing? I would shrugged.

Alas! Over the years, I stumbled upon an article on my Facebook page and my head became correct, it was written in that article "rather than sleep in the broad daylight, charge your brain with constructive thinking". It sounded plausible to me and I started thinking with great obsession.

I would always start thinking about my past experience to see where I had done something wrong I can possibly correct in the future, from their I graduated to goal setting by peeping into the future and will thought out what can be done to prepare myself for what lies ahead of me.

From there, I began to have plans to execute each day that sleeping fizzled away without me having to bother about it any longer.

You can't be sleeping too much and have enough time to read, pray or learn from mentors. A reduced sleeping hours is an added time to execute your plans. Of a truth both the poor and the rich have 24hours in a day but while the poor is snoring all through the night, the rich is brainstorming innovations that will yield money.

You can't just be too comfortable at your current position; living a life that's constant without producing best results. Either you are Student, Employee, Employer or Entrepreneur, you can always be better and a good way to achieve that without interfering with your daily schedule is to reduce your sleep hours.

But don't ever cheat nature, anytime your body demands exclusive rest don't hesitate to give it, you don't want to work yourself out, do you?
