Success Pill II: Pray(Praying)

"Pray until something happens"_ Jesus Christ

Many of us are familiar with how Alhaji Aliko Dangote started business with his uncle's money but only few of us knew Archbishop Benson Idahosa prayed for him.

Here's the full gist...

Sometime in the early 90s, Dangote had an encounter that set his foot on the path of destiny. Archbishop Benson Idahosa had some guests who needed to travel back urgently from Benin to Lagos to catch up their flight to the US.

Unfortunately by the time the Archbishop took his guests to the airport they were told that the last flight for the day was overbooked and not a single seat was available.

As a matter of fact, the passengers have boarded and were about to take off. Idahosa asked for the plane to be delayed a few minutes and walked to the tarmac where he was allowed to address the passengers.

He pleaded with them about the desperate situation of his guests and asked that two persons should donate their seats for his guests to get to Lagos.

None of the people on the plane batted an eyelid. Some pretended to be asleep, some pretended to be praying and the man of God stood in hopeful expectation.

From the back of the plane, a young man asked the person sitting next to him to get up and together they vacated their seat for the American visitors. Idahosa stopped him in the aisle of the plane and asked,

“Youngman, what is your name and what do you do ?
“My name is Dangote, Aliko Dangote and this is my assistant. I am a trader, a businessman.”

It was there and then, that Papa Idahosa prophesied to him that “the world will get up for you.”

He prayed that God should take his business beyond Africa and bless him beyond measure.

Yes, you can’t take away Dangote's hard work and business acumen, but is he the only one with such prowess? Certainly No?

There are other morals of humility, respect and obedience in this story but I'm mostly concerned about the Prayer that was prayed for him with his single act.

Haven't you wondered why politicians donate huge amount of money to churches and mosques and even go as far as inviting group of Pastors or Alfas come to their house? All because they understood the concept of prayer and they don't dare joke with it especially when they met those who are closer to God than themselves.

If prayer is as important as this, that Dangote's business bloomed as a result of it and politicians as in Nigerian Politicians employ people to pray for them, how much more you? You don't want to leave for it chances or play a second fiddle with it.

Yes, you don't have the capacity to pay people to pray for you but the good thing about prayers is that no prayer is as effective as the one you pray by yourself except you encounter
a special grace and annointing, nobody can communicate the needs of your heart more than your own personal self.

Look, the plan of God is for you to be successful hence praying fervently with all seriousness towards this end is certainly a prayer that will be answered.

Let no one fool you that "what will be, will be", are you joking? Have you not read in Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart and in Jeremiah 29:12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

If you read the introduction to this blog post two days ago, I wrote on the latter part that "that there's a place for everyone at the top but not everyone will reach the top, only those who know the price and are ready to pay it will reach the topmost top". There's only one success top earmarked for you but you're not the only one gunning for it, if you are not equipped with the armor of prayers, your competitors are ready to step on you to move forward.

One major thing prayer does out of many others is that it makes you achieve tremendous success with little efforts, what others are sweating to do, you'll only fold the arm of your shirts to get it done.

Won't you start praying now? Delay is dangerous.

Philippians 4:6

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."

The Good News: Leave all of your anxieties in your words to God. He will erase them all and replace them with a peaceful mind.
