The Friends You Need

As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17.

The emphasis of this article will center on three different group of friends you will require as you journey through life out of which you can derive subsets but none of those three is as important as that friend you will have in "JESUS". His the best you can ever, absorb that as I proceed.

1. The Loyalists

This one's is the type of friend that will always be with you no matter what comes your way. They're always there even in the thick and tin, they're just ready to be with you irrespective of who or what you're. Naomi and Ruth is a perfect demonstration of this kind of friend " where you go, I go" your people, my people and your God my God.

With these sets of friends, you can be confident that when you're not around they will represents you as if to say you're there. They are just your friends and they don't need you to do anything for them in return.

As much as this friend demands nothing from you, it's a sin against them to be laisse-faire about productivity because you know that either you produce or not, they are always around and that's why you need the second group of friends.

2. The Opportunists

Such a wonderful group of friends, these are the "results oriented" ones. They're ready to do anything for you at any time in day so far your life is "productive ", once you have consistent records of achievement they can point to and say yeah " that's my friend's whatever ", they are ready to do the unbearable.

All they care for is that your life produces a worthwhile positive results, promotions, achievements and the likes, once you're a step behind this strata, they withdraw without notice, they are less concerned all they like in you is results.

Many of us resent this type of friendship and always put an end to our relationship with any of our friends who is showing up this kind of attitude but we all need them as stimulants to forge ahead.

This group of friends are the one that will keep you on your toes and makes the best come out of always, you will be self developed and goal oriented because there's a force from within.

They also draw you closer to God as their demands and expectations of them from you will be so enormous you have to pray your way into results.

3. The Cohorts.

Just as the meaning of the word denotes, so they're, these one's become your friends because your enemy is their enemy and as a result of having a common enemy decides to partner with you so that you can both fight the enemy with a concerted effort.

They don't care about you, your achievement or your failure , what joins you together us because you've a common enemy to fight, these group of friends in the real sense of it are actually your enemy but due to you sharing a superior enemy with them, they quickly run to you.

The good side of these ones is that you have an enemy fighting another enemy without the fear of been stabbed and can eventually be a "loyalist" or "opportunist".
