Say No to Suicide

Dear Readers, Students and the entire Students Populace
I understand you have thousands of reasons to murder yourself
Sincerely, your million justifications to cut your life short is tenable
But take a pause before you sip the next bottle of sniper down your throats
And follow me through this life saving journey


There's definitely nothing I can tell you that will make you go out of that unfortunate situation with a snap of the fingers
But trust me if you allow me to pat and ride on your back, you will be strengthened and encouraged to fight till the end
I mean you'll fight and win that battle that seems the only solution is suicide

Whenever the thoughts of committing suicide comes into your mind
Think twice because the same punishment for someone who kills another person is merited unto you
So if you take your own life, you will also be killed again, your dead body is regarded as a criminal and faces its punishment
You say how? Can a person die twice?
Well I believe if a person can be born again, then a person can be killed again

You're killed again for killing yourself by the abusive words people will say after your death
You will hear people who fought and won the situation that made you take your own life and won say,
"what a stupid fellow, this was same thing that happened to me years ago and now am doing fine, so what's the big deal?"
Less than 1% will feel for you, others will humiliate, chastise, abuse and curse you at your death

May I also tell you that taking your own life is no way out of your problem
Because you're going to face an unimaginable, unexpected and an unending punishments where you're heading to
I mean you will suffer till the rest of eternity in hell fire burning and burning but not been consumed
So why murder yourself when it will not ease your mishap but rather multiplies it with an infinite number

Does that mean you've not faced any challenge before now that you're now looking forward to take your own life at this moment
Why haven't you done it then?
Why do you wait till when it's almost over?
Why do you wait till when your parents, friends and families are happy to have you around with them?
Seriously it's not worth it now, if you can overcome your challenges in previous times, you can as well overcome this now
Oh!! You say this particular one is more serious and severe than the previous ones
But I put it you that you're more of age, more in exposure and knowledge than you were before, so you can win again and again and over again because you're wiser

Please I plead with you in the name of God and everything that you respect so much
Say no to suicide, don't base your happiness on anybody or any events
Let it be a decision in you that no matter what comes your way and what happens, you're going to live, you're going to be happy
Live by the principle of I'm not going to die, write it bold and clear and place it in your bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and most importantly in the tables of your heart
A will to live is a step to find the solution

If it is the same world we are, I mean in this Nigeria or let me say in this Institution
Ask anybody why they have not committed suicide, you can never get an answer of "it's because I have no problem" if you hear that, proceed to ask the person to explain what he/she meant
You will hear phrases like it's because
"I chose to live, I chose not to be bothered about my problems, I know everything will be fine, I am going somewhere better than I am now, I have a future, a vision that I must live to fulfill, I believe in God and the likes"
So my dear sisters and brothers, also imbibe this phrases and live

Think about those who will run helter and skelter to save you even when they know you decided to take your own life
Think about how sorrowful they'll be for eventually loosing you
Think about their flowing tears that can't be consoled
Why not confide in these set of people and let them channel the efforts in to helping you live
Don't keep to yourself, tell it to God (don't say I'm a sinner, He answers the prayers of the unjust) that which chokes life out of you
Tell it someone, somebody, anybody and everybody
Why keep to yourself when everyone will eventually know what you did?
Come out and shout it loud to everyone hearing
And be amazes at how people, even those you don't know will stand to help you

Believe me, that situation has a solution
Somebody has been there before you
And the person is doing fine now
Even though today is sorrowful tomorrow is full of joy and happiness
If tears persists till night, joy follows in the morning
Don't forget, the darkest hour is just before the dawn

You will live, say no to suicide!!!
You must live, say no to suicide!!!
You're living, say no to suicide!!!
