Marriage is the legal relationship between a man and woman
Wedding is a marriage ceremony and the meal or party that usually follows it
It's no gainsaying that some couples lay emphasis on the wedding as a ceremony
More than the marriage as a relationship
Couples has over time pull resources; both human and non human resources together to make the ceremony grand and talk of the town
Yet neglecting the need to build the relationship on a solid foundation so that it can stand the test of time and resist stormy winds
If half or all of the efforts pull together to celebrate solemnization is channeled towards the marriage, more homes would have been happier than they were now
Of what benefits is a first class mouth watering wedding with enough foods and drinks to take coupled with prominent personalities in attendance but divorce is the only option after some months
It's so disheartening that couples about to get married are so distracted with the euphoria that comes with wedding and neglect the vitals discussions that will last the marriage
Parents should take time to sensitize this young couples that wisdom needed to make marriage stands surpasses that which is needed for wedding
Wedding could only be justified to be worthwhile if the marriage produces fruit that abides
I'm not saying wedding should be ruled out but definitely not at the expense of marriage
